Tris Vonna-Michell
Two identically looking books, each one telling a different story through various lose printed inserts.
During Tris Vonna-Michell’s exhibition at Halle für Kunst Lüneburg, Manuel Raeder and the artist installed an old Heidelberg offset press machine which served as a starting point towards a book about the artistic practice of Tris Vonna-Michell. Different texts, transcripts and images, printed on a daily basis and available for the visitors, were afterwards inserted into two almost identically looking publications.
The project, which was developed through a period of three years in a close collaboration between Tris Vonna-Michell and Manuel Raeder, is as much an artist book as it is a source for understanding the diverse projects and performances of the artist.
