BLESS lookbook collaborations
Born from the wish to collaborate with long term friend and Japanese journalist Nakako Hayashi for her magazine “Here and there”, BLESS started with N° 23 in 2004 the lookbook collaborations from then on always designed by Studio Manuel Raeder. Until then the lookbooks / catalogues were always published each season as a separate in-house publications, but with this first collaboration, the desire was raised to open above all the field of fashion in allowing with likeminded magazine editors to share similar values, no matter on which field and to double the reach of both of our audiences: With each collaboration the lookbook was simultaneously available in selected bookstores, but as well distributed for free among our shop clients. The shops discovered the mostly unknown magazines, while the audience of the magazines discovered BLESS. This teaming-up also emphasized on the aim for BLESS not to focus on fashion only, but to include as well fields of art, design, food, music, etc. that contribute to a wider vision of what a seasonal fashion statement could mean nowadays, a capturing of the here and now and what is relevant to us in that very moment.
