Lee Bul: Beginning
This monographic publication surveys internationally renowned artist Lee Bul’s early practice from 1987 to 1998, during which her “soft sculpture” and performance works were produced extensively. The publication contains video and photographic documentation of Lee Bul’s performances, unseen drawings, preparatory objects and sculptures in conjunction with commentaries, academic essays, and interviews by different contributors around her career. It is published on the occasion of the exhibition Lee Bul–Beginning organized by Seoul Museum of Art in 2021.
